In media we've started watching British films such as The 'italian job' and 'Get Carter' and what makes them British we also compared them to early films such as 'Saturday night and Sunday morning'.

We've also discussed the motion picture production code and the censorship guidelines. The guidelines had been abandoned by the time 'Get Carter' was made which is why it contains a lot more violence and a lot more sexual content.

We discussed myths and how myths can be incoporated into films such as Fairytails like Cinderella and how theres a princess and a prince charming and a happily ever after. Myths are stories that arn't nessecarily true with a believable plot. Films like 'Notting Hill' with a big film star falling in love with a small time book shop owner. Stories that wouldn't normally happen but people hope for. We also went on www.trailoraddict.com and looked at teaser trailors that may be a myth films such as 'Night at the museum'.
